In 1996, I was completely fed up with dieting, yo-yo weight regain and the rising dosage of antidepressants my doctors were recommending. Frustrated and angry, I decided I would lose weight permanently.

 

My doctors couldn’t help me. Nutritionists, personal trainers and celebrity diet gurus didn’t have the answer. So, I set out to figure out the keys to permanent weight loss on my own.

 

After losing over 70 lbs and keeping the weight off for over five years, my research indicated I'd entered an elite club of people who achieve successful, permanent weight loss. And everyone was asking for help! I founded Catalyst Coaching LLC with the mission of helping others lose weight permanently, so they would not have to do it over and over again.

 

I first became a certified Weight Management Consultant, then a certified Personal Trainer and, finally, a certified life coach.  Together this three-pronged approach targets the three areas of permanent weight loss:  nutrition, exercise, and THE MIND!!!

 

To get thin, learn to think thin!

 

It's all in the mind!  In order to lose weight permanently, changing physical things like eating and exercising are only part of the picture.

 

We need to make adjustments to our mental approach, our emotional attitudes and our spiritual connection to ourselves in order to lose weight and not have it return.

The Catalyst Weight Loss System is a flexible, supportive, choice-based weight loss system designed to accommodate individual needs and lifestyles with a goal of health and fitness for its users—at all levels.

It stresses motivation and behavior modification, not fad diets or severely restricted food plans, and seeks to heal damaged relationships with food and teach a healthier approach to weight loss.

Here are some important components of the CatalystTM system:

There are no nutritional products or supplies to buy.  Catalyst offers an educational course which teaches you to make changes in your eating and exercise habits as well as coaching to help you continually move towards your goals.

There are no special foods to eat or diets to follow. Catalyst empowers you to make healthier choices in your life.

There is work to be done.  The Catalyst Weight Loss System will teach and support you as you learn to lose weight the permanent way.

Pat Barone developed the Catalyst Weight Loss System after spending years researching weight loss, nutrition, fitness, as well as strength and weight training. Her study led to undeniable results as she accomplished a healthy weight loss of 70 pounds, which she has kept off for over 7 years.  Permanent weight loss is defined at the 5-year mark by the medical community and rarely happens in our society today.

Pat has molded her techniques and tools into a weight management program unlike any other diet and fitness program on the market.
